17th Annual Home Tour

The 2008 Home Tour was a great success!
The weekend began with our candlelight tour of homes followed by a fantastic party at the Dallas Arboretum.
Heather Comtois, Party Chairperson, and the entire party committee put on a beautiful event with both live and silent auctions,
music by Candy Williams and the quick talking and always entertaining David Williams as our auctioneer.
Even though Mother Nature teased us with her own sense of humor by threatening rain, it was a beautiful spring night.
Over 370 people bought tickets doubling the size of last year's party. Hollywood resident and artist Liz Simmons sold a
whopping 104 tickets to the bash. Whether it having a glass of wine or two from Times Ten Cellars with friends,
the gourmet burgers & mac and cheese, the steals on varied silent auction items from airline tickets to sports memorabilia to
local services or the excitement of bidding on collection quality art... there was something for everyone.
The total amount raised is still being tallied, but one thing is for sure... While building on past years' successes,
the 2008 auctions have raised more money than any other tour to date.
People from all over the Metroplex came to Hollywood to view our beautiful homes and witness firsthand our neighborhood's charm.
On behalf of the HSMNA, the 2008 Home Tour Committee and your neighbors, a heartfelt thank you goes out to all the 2008 home
owners for allowing us and nearly 1,000 people to experience all the beauty that makes Hollywood/Santa Monica such a special place.
